Although carbamazepine is one of important drugs used primarily in neurologic disorders. Its psychiatric use is widespread nowadays. But it has some serious adverse effects. So psychiatrists must know well about the usage and adverse effects

the uncommon but devastating, Stevens-Johnson syndrome, due to the usage of carbamazepine.
